The main objective of the workshop is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences on the sustainable management of agriculture and forestry, with a focus on biodiversity conservation. It seeks to analyze the alignment of the National Biodiversity Strategy of Costa Rica with the Global Framework for Biodiversity, specifically with goal 10 of the Kunming-Montreal. Participants will work on generating proposals, identifying obstacles and reviewing existing initiatives to ensure that areas dedicated to agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries and forestry are managed sustainably. The event promotes the implementation of biodiversity-friendly practices, such as sustainable intensification and agroecological approaches, in order to improve the long-term resilience, efficiency and productivity of production systems, ensuring food security and preserving nature's contributions, including ecosystem functions and services.
