Sixth Meeting - Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development - 2023 (ES)

During the thirty-sixth session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), which took place in Mexico City from May 23 to 27, 2016, the member states approved resolution 700(XXXVI), resolution of Mexico, which created the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development as a regional mechanism for monitoring and reviewing the implementation and follow-up of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs ), its goals, its means of implementation and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development. Subsequently, the United Nations Economic and Social Council endorsed the creation of the Forum through the approval of its resolution 2016/12. (ES)
