Permanent Preparedness Plan Technical Team for Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting on Food and Nutrition Security
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines established a permanent Preparedness Plan Technical Team responsible for the continuous monitoring, analysis and reporting of Food and Nutrition Security conditions in accordance with the National Preparedness Plan for Food and Nutrition Security Crisis. The mechanism uses official indicators and a quarterly monitoring and reporting workflow through the Joint Monitoring Report (JMR). Its main goal is to ensure that food and nutrition security risks are identified early, analysed using reliable and verifiable evidence and communicated in a timely manner to the responsible committee to support decision-making and the identification of extraordinary food and nutrition security crises. The process includes capacity building on food and nutrition security concepts, logic planning, indicator alignment, institutional responsibilities and preparation of joint monitoring reports.
