USAID Caribbean Agricultural Productivity Improvement Activity (CAPA)
Initiative aimed at improving food security and promoting sustainable farming practices through increased fruit and vegetable productivity of smallholder farmers. It articulates interventions in productive technical assistance, strengthening commercial linkages with buyers and agro-input suppliers, modernization of rural extension systems, and climate data management for decision-making. Its objective is to increase market-led agricultural production, improve smallholder connectivity with regional value chains, and strengthen climate resilience of the Caribbean agri-food sector.
Strengthening private sector development through innovation in OECS Eastern Caribbean member countries.
Program aimed at strengthening agro-productive private sector development in OECS member countries through technological and business innovation as a driver of competitiveness. It supports capacity building across local agrifood value chains, market access, and productive diversification, contributing to the resilience of food production systems against the structural vulnerabilities of the Eastern Caribbean.
CAF donates $800,000 to five Caribbean countries to mitigate the effects of Hurricane Beryl
The Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean announced the immediate delivery of donations for humanitarian aid and emergency assistance to affected communities in the Caribbean countries. The donations were distributed as follows: USD 250,000 for Jamaica; USD 250,000 for Barbados, existing CAF shareholder countries; USD 100,000 for Granada, which is in the process of becoming a shareholder; USD 100,000 for Saint Lucia; and USD 100,000 for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

This national policy adopts a cross-sectoral approach to build climate resilience and promote low-carbon growth. It focuses on adapting critical sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and water management, prioritizing food security and the protection of natural ecosystems as carbon sinks.
Bi-Regional EU–CELAC Declaration Pact on Care
The Bi-Regional EU–CELAC Declaration Pact on Care (2025), adopted during the IV EU–CELAC Summit held in Santa Marta, Colombia, reaffirms the joint commitment to promote a care agenda focused on gender equality, social inclusion, and decent work. This policy framework strengthens cooperation between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean to recognize, redistribute, and reduce care gaps by reinforcing national systems, training caregivers, and investing in social infrastructure. It forms part of the Joint EU–CELAC Declaration and will be accompanied by a 2025–2027 Roadmap currently under development.
National Action Plan for Agriculture GHG Inventory Improvement St.Vincent and the Grenadines 2022
This plan was developed within the framework of the GCF CARICOM AgREADY project, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to produce more accurate and sustainable agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories. The document reviews the current situation in the country, which is marked by dependence on external consultants, a lack of institutional continuity, and limitations in agricultural data.
