Strengthening private sector development through innovation in OECS Eastern Caribbean member countries.
Program aimed at strengthening agro-productive private sector development in OECS member countries through technological and business innovation as a driver of competitiveness. It supports capacity building across local agrifood value chains, market access, and productive diversification, contributing to the resilience of food production systems against the structural vulnerabilities of the Eastern Caribbean.
Next Generation Sweet Potato Production in the Caribbean (NextGenSP)
A regional project focused on the conservation and sustainable use of sweet potato plant genetic resources across Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and Antigua & Barbuda. Key pillars include: expanding farmer access to clean planting material of priority varieties; building productive resilience against drought, salinity, and the sweet potato weevil (Cylas formicarius); strengthening local value chains through public–private partnerships and processed product development (flour, animal feed); and integrating local varieties into the ITPGRFA Multilateral System, including safe duplication at the Svalbard Global Seed Vault.
Eastern Caribbean Green Entrepreneurship Initiative
The Eastern Caribbean Green Entrepreneurship Initiative was a three-year project funded by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and implemented by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in partnership with the OECS Commission. This initiative offered incubation and acceleration programs, including virtual courses and online training, a mentoring program, in-person events, investor linkages and networking opportunities in six (6) OECS member states: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica , Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It focused on green companies whose business models include solutions aimed at contributing to their country's climate and sustainable development goals, as well as high-potential startups in the growth stage. Both programs prioritized women entrepreneurs and the creation of green jobs for women and youth.

National strategic land-use framework for Antigua and Barbuda that updates the National Physical Development Plan with a 20-year horizon. The Plant Protection Act, 2012 (Antigua and Barbuda)
This Act provides the legal foundation for preventing the introduction and spread of plant pests, regulating import and export procedures, establishing the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO), enabling phytosanitary inspections, quarantine actions, pest risk analysis, emergency measures, and compliance with the IPPC and WTO SPS Agreement. It empowers authorities to enforce phytosanitary controls, declare pest-free and low pest prevalence areas, and take regulatory, administrative, and enforcement actions to safeguard Antigua and Barbuda’s plant resources.
Bi-Regional EU–CELAC Declaration Pact on Care
The Bi-Regional EU–CELAC Declaration Pact on Care (2025), adopted during the IV EU–CELAC Summit held in Santa Marta, Colombia, reaffirms the joint commitment to promote a care agenda focused on gender equality, social inclusion, and decent work. This policy framework strengthens cooperation between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean to recognize, redistribute, and reduce care gaps by reinforcing national systems, training caregivers, and investing in social infrastructure. It forms part of the Joint EU–CELAC Declaration and will be accompanied by a 2025–2027 Roadmap currently under development.
