ENANDES+ (Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of Andean Communities through Climate Services)
The ENANDES+ project supports six Andean countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru) in their climate adaptation and resilience efforts, expanding the scope of the original ENANDES project implemented by the WMO through the Adaptation Fund. The initiative aims to improve the capacity of communities and productive sectors to adapt to climate variability and change by strengthening hydrometeorological services, early warning systems, and the co-design of local adaptation practices. It includes country-specific components, such as the development of an early warning system for floods in the binational Pilcomayo River basin (Argentina-Bolivia), frost alerts for small-scale family farmers in Ecuador, and the strengthening of technical knowledge in Peru.
Nitrogen Optimization: Strategies for Addressing the Climate Crisis in Food Production
This project establishes a technical network across five countries (including the Dominican Republic and Panama) to optimize the use of nitrogen fertilizers through the 4R strategy. Its goal is to increase food productivity and reduce $N_{2}O$ emissions by developing common protocols and local emission factors (Tier 2). The results will strengthen national GHG inventories and promote public policies for sustainability and climate resilience in the region.
LodoVerde Project – valorization of biosolids in Chile
A project spearheaded by Sacyr in Chile focuses on valorizing sludge from wastewater treatment by transforming it into biosolids usable in agriculture. The initiative aims to generate organic amendments that improve soil quality, promoting a circular economy and reducing waste disposal.

Enandes (Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of Andean Communities through Climate Services)
The ENANDES+ Initiative (Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of Andean Communities through Climate Services) is a regional program led by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), with support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Adaptation Fund. Its objective is to strengthen the adaptive capacity of Andean communities to climate variability and change through the development and use of integrated climate services for disaster risk management, land-use planning, and food security. The initiative promotes cooperation among the national meteorological and hydrological services of Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, and other Andean countries, together with technical institutions and civil protection agencies. ENANDES+ aims to enhance the availability and accessibility of hydrometeorological information, build local capacities, and strengthen early warning systems, with a focus on the agricultural and water resources sectors. It is implemented as a multi-country and medium-term action, aligned with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015–2030), the Paris Agreement, and national policies on climate adaptation and risk management.
ImpactCAF: Towards a resilient, sustainable, and regenerative agricultural sector
Institutional program of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) aimed at evaluating, highlighting, and strengthening the impact of its financing and technical cooperation operations in the agricultural sector of Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative promotes a model of sustainable, inclusive, and regenerative agriculture, integrating climate resilience, technological innovation, efficient management of natural resources, and the inclusion of small producers in sustainable value chains.
