Production of Biofertilizers and Insect-Based Protein Pellets for Sustainable Agrifood Systems in Arid Areas of Northern Chile
Innovation project aimed at developing and validating a pilot process for the bioconversion of organic waste through controlled insect farming to produce biofertilizers and protein pellets intended to improve agricultural productivity and animal nutrition. The initiative is implemented in the Tarapacá Region and seeks to promote sustainable agrifood systems in arid areas through waste valorization, the use of insect biomass, improved soil fertility, and the production of locally sourced agricultural and livestock inputs.
Decision Support System for Adaptation to Hydroclimatic Risks in Small- and Medium-Scale Agriculture
Research and technological development initiative aimed at creating a digital tool for the integrated analysis of hydroclimatic risks and the assessment of climate change adaptation options for small- and medium-scale agriculture in Chile’s Aconcagua River Basin. The platform seeks to identify and visualize areas facing the highest risks from droughts, intense rainfall, wildfires and frost by considering the interaction between climate hazards, exposure and vulnerability. The project also develops a participatory decision-support model to prioritize, monitor and assess adaptation measures, incorporating the perspectives of farmers, public institutions and other territorial stakeholders.
Nitrogen optimization: Strategies to address the climate crisis in food production
Regional technical cooperation project aimed at optimizing nitrogen fertilizer use and reducing nitrous oxide emissions in agricultural systems in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. The project seeks to generate specific emission factors, evaluate nitrogen sources, rates, and application timing, develop mitigation strategies, maintain yields, strengthen national greenhouse gas inventories, and generate best-practice recommendations for efficient nitrogen use.

Updated Sectoral Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plan for the Infrastructure Sector
Chile's Sectoral Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plan for the infrastructure sector, approved through Supreme Decree No. 167 of the Ministry of Public Works, establishes measures to develop climate-resilient public infrastructure, adapt territories and communities to climate change impacts, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with Chile's carbon-neutrality commitments. The Plan comprises eight strategic lines and fifteen measures concerning resilient designs, nature-based solutions, water infrastructure for human consumption, infrastructure conservation and improvement, construction and demolition waste management, efficient use of water and energy, carbon-footprint measurement and management, capacity building, governance, monitoring, and evaluation. Its actions are implemented during the period ending in 2029.
Chile's Public Statement on the 12.5% Tariff Surcharge Imposed by the United States
The Government of Chile states its position regarding the decision by the United States to impose a 12.5% tariff surcharge on the country within the framework of a Section 301 investigation concerning imports of goods produced with forced labor. Chile maintains that it has strong labor institutions and a robust regulatory framework, notes that the resolution does not claim that Chile exports goods produced with forced labor, and announces that it will continue protecting the country's interests and those of its exporters through dialogue, negotiations, and political and technical engagement with United States authorities, including efforts to exclude essential products from the application of the tariff measure.

Nitrogen Optimization: Strategies for Addressing the Climate Crisis in Food Production
This project establishes a technical network across five countries (including the Dominican Republic and Panama) to optimize the use of nitrogen fertilizers through the 4R strategy. Its goal is to increase food productivity and reduce $N_{2}O$ emissions by developing common protocols and local emission factors (Tier 2). The results will strengthen national GHG inventories and promote public policies for sustainability and climate resilience in the region.
Enandes (Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of Andean Communities through Climate Services)
The ENANDES+ Initiative (Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of Andean Communities through Climate Services) is a regional program led by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), with support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Adaptation Fund. Its objective is to strengthen the adaptive capacity of Andean communities to climate variability and change through the development and use of integrated climate services for disaster risk management, land-use planning, and food security. The initiative promotes cooperation among the national meteorological and hydrological services of Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, and other Andean countries, together with technical institutions and civil protection agencies. ENANDES+ aims to enhance the availability and accessibility of hydrometeorological information, build local capacities, and strengthen early warning systems, with a focus on the agricultural and water resources sectors. It is implemented as a multi-country and medium-term action, aligned with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015–2030), the Paris Agreement, and national policies on climate adaptation and risk management.
ImpactCAF: Towards a resilient, sustainable, and regenerative agricultural sector
Institutional program of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) aimed at evaluating, highlighting, and strengthening the impact of its financing and technical cooperation operations in the agricultural sector of Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative promotes a model of sustainable, inclusive, and regenerative agriculture, integrating climate resilience, technological innovation, efficient management of natural resources, and the inclusion of small producers in sustainable value chains.
